I had this little dream the other night: when Severus Snape dies, his life sort of “resets”. He wakes up to this little girl, and while he doesn’t understand exactly what’s going on, he knows this life is his, she’s his daughter, and that Lily is in the kitchen downstairs. I told Kit, and she said I had to draw the dream.

Would that be such a bad trade-off? Family life with Lily, cats and flipflops and paperback novels and a sensible car, in exchange for magic? Love and contentment is a kind of magic…
